1997 – BSc in Environmental Engineering, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
2000 – MSc in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) (Stockholm, Sweden).
2001 – Accomplished MSc studies in Environmental Engineering, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.

MSc Lina Šleinotaitė-Budrienė has been working in
the field of environmental protection since 1997. She has been
participating actively in preparation of national waste management
strategies and programmes; drafting environmental legislation;
consulting companies, associations, ministries, municipalities,
producer responsibility organisations regional environmental protection
departments. Lina has been working as a lecturer at Kaunas University
of Technology, Panevėžys Institute or presenter at variuos
international and national conferences in waste management field;
initiating and implementing variuos environmnental projects.
During 2001-2005 she has worked as project manager
in the Institute of Environmental Engineering at Kaunas University of
Technology. Lina took part in preparation of Secondary Raw Material
Recycling Programme for Lithuania, participated in preparation of
various feasibility studies for management of specific waste streams,
drafting waste management legislation, conducted Regulatory Impact
Assessment of Implementation of EU Directive 2002/96/EB on waste of
electrical and electronic equipment, was national Environmental Impact
Assessment (EIA) expert in EU project „Capacity Building in
Implementation of the Environmental Acquis at the Local and Regional
Level (Particularly of the EIA and IPPC Directives)”. She has also
taken part as a consultant for waste management in the EU-funded
project “EUWAS - European Waste Sector Assistant” - drafting strategic
concept of the portal. Lina was initiator and content manager of
conferences –Discussions Forums “Waste Management” that are held every
year, together with partners she is initiating periodical thematical
seminars for waste sector.
The main areas of competence: project management,
management of specific waste streams (end-of life vehicles, waste from
electrical and electronical equipment, etc.), environmental impact
assessment, IPPC permits, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)
Audits, implementation of producer responsibility principle in waste
management.
